Nestled on a stunning 100-acre property boasting breathtaking mountain views, a peaceful creek, and on-site hiking trails, this home is your perfect base to explore Southwest Montana.
Enjoy good internet speeds (5+ Mbps or more) to stay connected while surrounded by nature. This single-level, upper unit of a duplex offers easy access with no stairs, including a ramp for accessibility. Located just 12 minutes from I-90 and only 25+ minutes to Lewis & Clark Caverns, Butte, Ringing Rocks, and Delmoe Lake. You’re also just 10 minutes from Whitehall, where you’ll find restaurants, groceries, a museum, antiques, and more.
The space
This home is part of a top and bottom duplex, with your unit being the upper level. The entrance is on the backside of the hill, complete with a private driveway and entrance — perfect for privacy and ease of access.
Inside, you’ll find a spacious bedroom with a comfortable King bed (firm mattress), ideal for a restful night. The living room features a pullout couch, a Roku Smart TV, and a curated selection of books to enjoy during your downtime. We provide plenty of fresh linens and extra sleeping pillows for your comfort.
But the true highlight is the stunning mountain views! Whether you’re gazing out the windows or relaxing on the back porch, you’ll be surrounded by the majestic Montana landscape, boulders, and serene creek.
The fully stocked kitchen includes a gas range, coffee maker (we provide the coffee!), full refrigerator, and all the pots and pans you need to prepare your favorite meals.
Feel free to explore the expansive grounds, including a large boulder field at the highest point with breathtaking mountain vistas, a babbling stream winding through cottonwoods, and an arena—a nod to the home’s history as the residence of a Montana rodeo star!
If you’re traveling with an RV or camper, please inquire — we offer parking and some hookups for your convenience.

We welcome well-behaved pets with a $50 fee per pet per stay. Please reach out to learn more about our pet policy. We also allow horses at a rate of $150 per month per horse — just bring your own hay. There is a creek on-site for watering your horses.

Steve August 2024We spend 2 nights in the upper unit duplex. It was beautiful inside and spotless. We walked the property twice, saw some deer. It was quiet, peaceful and nice views of mountains from the windows. The first day, we went to ringing rocks. It was quite an experience, the last 1/2 mile of road was not drive able, so we walked to it. The second day, we went to the Lewis and Clark state park caverns. Wow, the drive thru the canyon to get there was unbelievable, breathtaking. The tour thru the caverns was very cool (literally speaking, 48 degrees inside). Things to do in the areas were easy to get to from this airbnb property. Just great 2 days, highly recommend.
